Aggregat place made perfect by the people
We just returned from a two week stay at Enagron.
The location, the concept, the surrounding is simply stunning. Peaceful and quiet, embedded in a most beautiful scenery.
A great variety of best quality food for breakfast (buffet) combined with the delicious cuisine, wether one choses fro the menu or the daily special for lunch or dinner takes care of most ambitious expectations acc. to the food.
Beautiful rooms, terraces with amazing views, clean and well equipped are awaiting the visitor.
All our expectations (they weren't low because of the amazing pictures on the website) have been exceeded.
But it were the people working there who made our vacation just perfect - we have been taken care of in such a warm and gentle way by everyone we met there, it was just astonishing!

The overall friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful outlook to mountains. Superb meals, staff so helpful and friendly. Comfortable studio, beds excellent, derived daily with fresh towels, good swimming pool!

The food was delicious, and the surrounding hiking trails were breathtaking.
The village is approximately 1 hour away from the port in Heraklion. I recommend booking a taxi service (especially if you will be driving in the evening/night time, as the roads can be a quite precarious for unfamiliar drivers).
Overall it was a fantastic experience, highly recommended for anyone visiting Crete.

What service, What a view!
If you are looking to escape into the countryside on Crete, this is the place to go! Truly a destination all its own, Enagron cannot be beat. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful, spoke English very well - and other languages too - and seemed very eager to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Very family friendly, they have animals to visit, a pool, and a playground as well as daily activities that allow you to explore the resort and the surrounding areas. The restaurant is fantastic, and does a very generous breakfast buffet in the mornings. The rooms are spacious and very clean, with lots of local character and interesting design. The bathrooms are great too, as are the toiletries provided. Our room had two balconies where you got a view of the resort during the day and the stars at night. I'd love to go back! Give yourself a treat and visit Enagron!

As good as it gets
The food, the rooms, the staff, the views, everything was better than we hoped for. And we had a lot of hope before we arrived. We did a lot of walking in the beautiful area. The visit at the sheepherdwas fantastic, we are stil eating of his cheese from the cave. Thank you

The complex has a beautiful location in a valley next to Axos. The apartments are comfortable and clean. The staff was very nice and helpful.Breakfast is plentiful and delicious local cuisine.The accommodation has good programs. Suitable place for active vacation.

Peace and Quiet
This was a great --- great ---- experience. When we first arrived, I thought --- oh really? It is a very nice place, but it seemed secluded without a lot of things to do. When I left (stayed three nights) I left kicking and screaming. It is not a place if you need non-stop action packed adventure. There are some wonderful hikes, a great town (Axos) within a 15 minute walk, and it is a great place to stay to read a book, get to spend time with your spouse, etc. The food is unbelievable and the kitchen staff marvelous. Be sure to take the day trip to the Shepard's House and also the monastery while there. Also, take a day to go into Axos to visit the Wood Sculpture Museum and walk to the edge of town and visit "O Mitos". It is a textile shop run by the most loving Greek grandmother you could ever imagine. She will be there hand sewing her textiles using a large loom and shows you the whole process. Word of caution- driving from Heraklion to Enagron can be a little treacherous. We paid the 90 euro car transfer fee and it was SO worth it.

You will not want to leave
You arrive down a long, narrow,twisting lane and wonder just what you are going to find, once Enagron comes into view you are still wondering just what have you let yourslves in for. Just go with flow, the recepion staff soon put you at ease and you start to relax.
The apartments are wonderfull, full of character with fabulous views across the mountains.
The staff so helpfull and friendly.
While we did venture to local villages a few times in the evenings for a drink the highlight was without doubt dinner.
We just went with whatever was the dish of the day and never failed to be impressed, special mention has to be made of the cheesecake....!
We stayed 4 nights and could of stayed another 4 nights
Enagron is a place you will not forget and will want to visit again, we can it no higher compliement

Driving Directions
Bitte folgenden Sie bei der Anreise der Routen, die auf der Karte auf unserer Website eingezeichnet ist. Ein großer Teil der Strecke führt über eine alte kurvenreichen Landstraße. Wenn Sie von Chania kommen, fahren Sie auf der VOAK/E75/A90 nach Osten in Richtung RETHYMNON und dann weiter bis PANORMO (80 km/1Std.15Min.). Nehmen Sie die Ausfahrt nach PANORMO und fahren Sie nach Süden in Richtung PERAMA (5 km/8 Min.). Fahren Sie anschließend weiter in Richtung DAFNEDES (5,8 km/10 Min.), dann weiter nach GARAZO (5,8 km/10 Min.) und KATERIANA (5,6 km/9 Min.). Von KATERIANA fahren Sie nach Süden in Richtung AXOS. Nach 1,5 km biegen Sie 200 m vor der Ortseinfahrt links ab und folgen dem ausgeschilderten Weg zum Enagron Cretan Ecotourism Village.
Bei Anreise vom Flughafen Iraklio aus: Fahren Sie auf der VOAK/E75/A90 nach Westen in Richtung RETHYMNON. Biegen Sie nach 12 km (10 Min.) an der Ausfahrt GAZI/ANOGIA rechts ab. Fahren Sie nach Westen in Richtung TYLISOS (6,6 km/15 Min.), in Richtung GONIES (12 km/17 Min.) und weiter nach SISARCHA (4,6 km/ 17Min.). Fahren Sie weiter in dieselbe Richtung nach Anogia (2,7 km/6 Min.) und anschließend in Richtung AXOS (7,5 km/15 Min.). Nach der Ortseinfahrt folgen Sie dann dem ausgeschilderten Weg zum Enagron Cretan Ecotourism Village.
